Anna Chiara Gianuzzi debuts in Lisbon with the exhibition “Corpo Manifesto”

Oct 21, 2025

October 29, 2025 – March 25, 2026
L’APE Italian Lounge, Calçada do Monte 92A, Lisbon

Lisbon is set to welcome CORPO MANIFESTO by Anna Chiara Gianuzzi from October 29, 2025 — an exhibition that brings together a selection of works created through various photographic techniques, including re-photographed collage and multiple exposure. The show, featuring around twenty pieces, stands out for its raw, evocative aesthetic that builds an intimate, personal atmosphere while inviting dialogue and reflection.

Running until March 25, 2026, the exhibition marks its debut at L’APE Italian Lounge, a well-known Lisbon venue directed by Marco Orobello, an Italian art enthusiast and cultural promoter. The space is recognized for its dynamic calendar of events across multiple disciplines, each chosen for their strong visual and emotional resonance.

With CORPO MANIFESTO, Gianuzzi guides the viewer through a symbolic journey into her inner world — a visual narrative where images become fragments of memory, capturing suspended moments and revealing the quiet lessons of life. At the heart of her artistic exploration lies the female body, portrayed as a vessel of emotions, messages, and transformations, expressed through a language both powerful and profoundly honest.

The title CORPO MANIFESTO — intentionally kept in Italian — retains its expressive strength even in Portuguese, forging a natural bond with the city that hosts it. Lisbon, with its cosmopolitan and open spirit, has long been a place where ideas flow freely — a crossroads of cultures and a beacon for creative travelers. For Gianuzzi, it represents an ideal setting: a city where artistic languages meet and evolve without boundaries.

Through this exhibition, Anna Chiara Gianuzzi reaffirms the power of imagery as a means of introspection and universal connection, transforming photography into a visual manifesto of the human experience.

Anna Chiara Gianuzzi
Born in Milan in 1973, Anna Chiara Gianuzzi studied photography, film, and communication in her hometown. She began her career as a freelance photographer specializing in fashion still life, collaborating over the years with leading luxury brands such as Bulgari, Pomellato, Etro, Gucci, Marni, Gianvito Rossi, and Cavalli, as well as prominent publications including Vogue Italia, D di Repubblica, Vanity Fair, The Fashionable Lampoon, and Hunter Magazine.
Today, her work focuses on personal research — an introspective journey through life’s experiences and continuous transformations, both internal and external. Her images become an authentic observation of the self, driven by the desire to understand and embrace every emotion and inner conflict. Through photography, she gives form to the many facets that compose identity, revealing both its familiar and hidden dimensions.
